How a claim actually works

  1. 01

    Mitigate immediately

Stop the source. Photograph everything. Carriers expect you to limit further damage.

  2. 02

    File the claim

Call your carrier; get a claim number. Provide the loss date, cause, and rough scope.

  3. 03

    Document the loss

We arrive, measure moisture, photograph damage, scope the work in Xactimate.

  4. 04

    Adjuster review

Adjuster reviews our scope and approves repairs. We handle the negotiation when scope is disputed.

  5. 05

    Restoration

We dry the structure, demo unsalvageable materials, rebuild, and clear the loss.

For homeowners

How payment works

We require a 25% deposit before work begins. The remaining 75% is billed directly to your insurance carrier and is due when they release the claim funds — typically 30 to 90 days after the job closes.

Can't front the deposit?

We offer financing through a third-party partner so the deposit can be financed over 6–24 months, with approval typically same-day. Ask us about it on the first call — we'll walk you through the options.

FAQ — insurance claims

Should I call my insurance carrier before I call you?
Most homeowners think the carrier comes first, but the policy language usually requires you to take reasonable steps to prevent further damage. That is what mitigation is. Call us first so we can stop the water and start drying — we will document everything to your carrier's standard while you call them to open the claim. We have worked with every major Texas carrier and we will coordinate directly with your adjuster once the claim number is issued.
Will my homeowners insurance cover water damage restoration?
Most homeowners policies cover sudden and accidental water damage — a burst pipe, an overflowing dishwasher, an ice-maker line that lets go overnight. What is typically excluded is flooding from outside the home (storms, rising creeks), which requires a separate NFIP or private flood policy. We document everything to your carrier's standard and bill your insurance directly when the loss is covered.
